GenerOZity has recently spent months researching the ACNC guidelines, and submitted our first application to the ACNC. Sadly we were told “the Applicant does not currently meet the requirements to be registered as a charity, under Australian charity law” and we're not in a position to resolve this issue without some legal assistance to help us navigate charity law.
We want to gain full Australian charity (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. We are currently a not-for-profit but want to be a charity to allow us to grow our fundraising events.
If anybody has any knowledge or contacts to help us archive this goal. We would be greatly appreciative, and forever in your debt. We have very limited operational budgets because we've always transferred 100% of the donations.
